This is an honest hidden gem, one which I'm surprised I never have to line up for a table. They consistently serve very high quality quality meat for the bbq and have a fantastic range of Japanese eats. All with very generous portion sizes and very reasonable prices. Wait staff are always checking your table if there is something to be done and the beer on tap is a cherry on top of the whole dining experience! I've been coming in for many years and will continue to be my favourite JAP BBQ venue.

Omg, what a hidden gem! We live locally, but we tried this place a few weeks ago and it completely blew our minds. Honestly, it’s the best Japanese BBQ I’ve had outside Japan — the quality and atmosphere are on par with what I experienced there. I love that you order as you go, and every dish was top-notch. They serve incredible wagyu, fresh seafood, and everything was cooked to perfection. The bibimbab was absolutely amazing too. Service is so friendly as well. If you love authentic Japanese BBQ, this place is a must-try!

Nice little cozy place for a family BBQ or friends to catch up for sake and BBQ. Came for dinner on our last night in Sydney. Tasty marinated meats, potato croquet was yummy and we missed on the yam fries. Would definitely visit again in our next visit.

I came here a few times and I have noticed that they've made significant changes with their ordering system - QR code to order online. Very quick and easy system, and you can order whenever you want. It's honestly great. The prices are on the expensive side but the portions are generous. I love their bento combos which includes sushi, sashimi, salad with seaweed, kimichi radish, vegetables for the BBQ, miso soup and rice. Their meat selections is quite vast and marinated. The wagyu meats are expensive but definitely worth a try. We also ordered their beef bibimbap which was good but wasn't expectional - I wouldn't order it again. Side note: they have very limited parking which can be a pain when it's busy.

When we hungry folks were scouting out a good place for dinner along the streets of Beverley Hills, we decided to try out barbecue and we left with not a drop left of meat or disappointment. We were assigned to a table near the open window which we were unsure at first, but as the night went on, the seating placement was absolutely perfect for us. The smoke from the barbecue filters out the window and allows breathing room, my gratitude to the architect there. I also give my thanks to the delicious food at Manmaruya. While service can be hot and cold, it doesn't distract from the ingredients being the centre of attention. We ordered a Manmaruya Yakiniku plate and a Short Rib bento which both came relatively quickly. I can definitely say that the high price points for the banquets are justified, considering the bountiful amount of food that comes with each. All three of us were satisfied and beaming with glee at the end of the meal. The bento possesses a great variety of both barbecue and ready-to-eat foods to pass the time while waiting for the meat to cook. Their marinated short ribs are immaculate with the divine mixture of sweet and pepper that permeates throughout the juicy meat. All the ingredients are fresh with top-notch quality, each bite being a flavourful intermission between lively conversations. I would recommend bookings for dinner as the restaurant becomes very popular once the sun sets. So bring your friends along to the feast or if you're on your lonesome, treat yourself to Manmaruya's cure for sadness: Barbecue.

Been to this restaurant quite frequently over the past year. Meat cuts are fresh and flavourful. I enjoy their ala carte side dishes for a low price of $9.90. Recommend the short rib, ox tongue and pork cheek. Try to ring beforehand for booking as the place gets crowded.
